Our winter conference offers opportunities for both NB Candidates and currently
certified NBCTs. National Board Certification offers educators enriching personal and professional growth. We invite you to
go for gold by striving for your personal best practice and reflection through the experience of the National Board Certification
Initial & Advanced Candidate Sessions: Participate in sessions for Initial and Advanced
Candidates on unpacking the National Board Standards, writing strategies and tips for re-tooling for those resubmitting components.
Additional sessions focus on each of the four components of your process: Component 1 (Content Knowledge/Assessment Center),
Component 2 (Differentiation in Instruction), Component 3 (Teaching Practice & Learning Environment), Component 4 (Effective
& Reflective Practitioner). Each session is designed to help candidates prepare their own materials as they reflect on
their practice and the National Board standards and guidelines. All participants will have the opportunity to network with
colleagues, current NBCTs and Candidate Support Facilitators in small group and Q&A panel sessions to address topics such
as recording videos and time management. Most sessions repeat during the conference allowing participants to select the sessions which best suit their needs. Registration includes continental breakfast & box lunch (make selection when

NBCTs and Renewal Candidates**: It’s
time to flex those NBCT muscles and reflect on the ways you have continued to stay at the top of your game since you first
achieved National Board Certification. You will undoubtedly find your National Board experience continues to enrich you personally
& professionally. Sessions offered for current NBCTs this winter include in-depth facilitator training for those interested
in supporting current candidates as an NBCT Facilitator as well an opportunity to connect with current candidates. Learn important
information about how the process has evolved since you certified and develop strategies for ethical support of candidates.
Get an overview of the current renewal process using the Profile of Professional Growth process—if you achieved your National Board Certification in 2008 and 2009, this is your year to reflect and renew! (The 2017-18
school year is the 1st opportunity
for 2009 NBCTs and the 2nd and final opportunity for 2008 NBCTs to renew.) The renewal session is based on the process for all NBCTs certified prior to 2010. Even if it’s not quite your time to
renew, consider joining us for the information to help you plan ahead. Our Q&A panel session is a great opportunity to
ask questions about networking in your school division or region. Registration
